On Saturday 24th March we headed to Lingfield with Shimba Hills for his first run after a 337 day break. After a scary summer, nearly losing him to colic, the gelding is now feeling in great form and we were thrilled just to get him back on the racecourse. He jumped off and tracked the leaders, looking a little race rusty and more like a jumper in a flat race. Although seeming a little intimidated by his competitors it was great to get Shimba back on the track and he will improve no end for the run. We will look for another race for him soon!
