Clondaw Westie Gives Coleman 100th Win!

On Friday 6th April we headed back to favoured racecourse Fontwell Park with proficient chaser Clondaw Westie. It was a three runner, 2m2f relatively competitive handicap chase which became a match at the fifth fence when Le Coeur Net fell. Aidan Coleman was aboard the 11/10 favourite, and gave the horse a peach of a ride. Westie's slick jumping and superior speed allowed him to cruise in and win the race by 26 lengths. This was a polished performance from a horse who has had jumping issues but today his jumping was his forte; this makes it 4 wins from 5 runs over fences this season. He will now have a break as he has done the yard incredibly proud over the winter months and will run again in autumn! This was Aidan's 100th win of the season, and we were thrilled to be able to provide this for Aidan who has ridden for us for many years. Thank you for a great fun winter Westie!

Clondaw Westie and Aidan Coleman en route to victory

On Monday 9th April we went to Kempton with Royal Etiquette who ran in a 2m5f handicap hurdle, with Tom Cannon on board. The gelding ran a great race, jumping brilliantly and staying on well to take 3rd on the run in, belying his 16/1 starting price. Tom was impressed by how well he travelled and his tenacity in the closing stages of the race. We will look for another race, either flat or over hurdles, as long as the ground still has some give in it.
